Plain-language rules for using LocalBoard.

Using the board

LocalBoard is free. Anyone can browse without an account. Businesses and people offering local services or products can post for free.

You must be the person or business you say you are, and you must be allowed to use the phone number you sign in with.
Your business name, your phone number and your posts are shown publicly so customers can reach you. By posting, you agree to that.
You agree to receive one-time verification codes by text message or phone call.
Posts must be true, local and about something you actually offer.
Not allowed: anything illegal or that needs a licence you do not have; weapons, drugs or adult content; scams, spam or misleading posts; hateful or discriminatory content; other people’s personal information.
Posts stay up for 90 days. You can renew, edit or remove them any time.

We may review, move, edit for category or remove posts, and block accounts that break these rules.
Any deal is between you and the business. We do not check work quality, licences or insurance, and we are not part of any agreement or payment. Please check before you hire or buy.
The board is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that come from using it.

We may update these terms. The current version is always on this page.
